Date established and history
Net Results was founded in 1993 by school social worker, Prilla O’Connell, who was searching for a more effective way to reach her most challenging students. She developed a program in which tennis served as an incredible tool for facilitating tutor-student relationships. The ongoing involvement of a caring adult mentor and a forum for interaction gave these students hope for the future, positive role models, and the encouragement to pursue their educational and professional dreams. Today, NRJT has grown into a respected youth mentoring agency filling a vital community need for safe out-of-school experiences, positive adult role models, life and leadership skills, healthy active lifestyles, and character development that empowers students with the tools they need to be responsible, productive and successful in tennis, in school, and in life.
